Applications open until February 3rd, 2023
The New European Bauhaus (NEB) has launched the competition for the 3rd Edition of the NEB Prizes, which aims to recognise and celebrate initiatives that connect beauty, sustainability and inclusivity, the three complementary values of NEB. Applications open until February 3rd, 2023.
In this edition there are four prize categories reflecting the theme-based axes of the European New Bauhaus: 1) Reconnecting with nature; 2) Regaining a sense of belonging; 3) Prioritising the places and people that need it the most; 4) Shaping a circular industrial ecosystem and supporting life-cycle thinking.
In each of the categories, prizes will be awarded in three strands:
In all, 15 prizes will be awarded. The panel will select 12 winners, one for each category in each strand) and 3 winners will be selected through a public vote (one per strand). The prizes are worth €30,000 for winners in strands A and C and €15,000 for winners in strand B.
All finalists will be invited to attend the award ceremony in Brussels and will benefit from a communication package provided by the Commission to support the promotion of their project.
For the first time, applications from the Western Balkans, in addition to Member States, will be eligible.
These awards recognise existing projects demonstrating that the sustainable solution promoted by the European Green Pact can bring high-quality experiences into the everyday life of society.
ANI is the National Contact Point for NEB and is tasked with promoting the initiative and supporting Portuguese participation.
