April 18th, digital format

The European Commission (DG AGRI), in collaboration with the Bioeconomy Working Group of the European Regions Research & Innovation Network (ERRIN), are organising an event to launch the Mission Soil Manifesto. This meeting will take place on April 18th, in digital format.

The aim of this session is to introduce the Manifesto and discuss how regions and local authorities can join the Soil Deal for Europe (EU) Mission, and also to present projects and initiatives related to this mission.

This manifesto, as has already happened in other missions, is a non-legally binding document aimed at formalising the participation of stakeholders and supporting the activities of Mission Soil. Its aim is to help the European Commission to engage stakeholders and create a community committed to the mission's goals, and it can also be used to map the stakeholders and support that will help Mission Soil to engage with society at different levels.

EU Missions have goals to meet by 2030 to bring joint solutions to major challenges, thus promoting the involvement of society overall. In the case of Mission Soil, the aim is to create 100 living laboratories and lighthouses to lead the transition towards healthy soils.

Registration is free but mandatory.

Sign up here until April 17th.
