Entitled “AI Portugal 2030”, the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy has already been officially presented, with the cooperation of the ANI.
The document, developed by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education, aims to promote the collective organisation of the creation of a labour market that is intensive in knowledge and innovation of excellence, based on companies producing and exporting artificial intelligence technologies.
Manuel Heitor, Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education highlights that(...) “we need to qualify the labour force and ensure that Portugal will be at the forefront artificial intelligence education”. Only then, according to the document, can these technologies be available and accessible to society in the next decade.
“AI Portugal 2030” was supported by the ANI Foundation for Science and Technology, the National Agency for Scientific and Technological Culture (Ciência Viva) and the Agency for Administrative Modernisation, in a project coordinated by INCoDe.2030.
