Calls for CONNECT and SCALEUP open between January 11^th and April 26^th

The European Innovation Ecosystems have opened the calls for the CONNECT and SCALEUP destinations, which will be accepting applications between January 11^th and April 26^th.

These Ecosystems are a Work Programme integrated in the Pillar 3 of Horizon Europe, 'Innovative Europe'. The programme includes 3 destinations, including CONNECT and SCALEUP.

CONNECT has two open opportunities. The topic 'Towards more inclusive networks and initiatives in European innovation ecosystems' aims to increase Europe's efficiency and innovation capacity by expanding cooperation and widening participation from more diverse actors and territories. The topic 'Integration of social innovation actors in innovation ecosystems' seeks to raise awareness and facilitate the access of social entrepreneurs to the resources of pan-European, national, regional and local innovation ecosystems.

As for SCALEUP, the topic is 'Expanding Entrepreneurial Ecosystems', which aims to improve the entrepreneurial skills of young people in innovation ecosystems of countries classified as 'modest' and 'moderate' innovators. This is done by supporting entrepreneurial education through programmes designed in close collaboration with the private sector and businesses.

The European Innovation Ecosystems provide funding for activities to support the strengthening, connectivity and inclusion of the European research and innovation ecosystems.

The main beneficiaries of these actions are the relevant bodies operating under the 'quadruple helix' (Universities, Government, Businesses and Society), including the bodies supporting national, regional and local innovation ecosystems, and other public and private entities.
