Young Portuguese woman was one of the 15 selected
The European Commission recently presented the new bioeconomy youth ambassadors. From a total of 325 applications to the Bioeconomy Youth Ambassadors programme, 15 young people from 12 European Union member states were selected, including one Portuguese.
This restricted group includes the participation of Rita Escórcio, PhD student in Molecular Biology at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
The programme's main objective is to raise awareness and foster the participation of the youth community, on bioeconomy's importance in our daily lives, serving as a basis of inspiration for the entire civil society and key stakeholders.
The working group is currently preparing the introductions for the sessions of the High-level Bioeconomy Conference to be held on October 6th and 7th in Brussels.
