Document open for wide consultation until 11 December

Portugal's Strategic Plan under the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) for the period 2023-2027 is available for public consultation until 11 December. This document results from the need for each Member State to present a single strategic plan including the support measures envisaged, in accordance with the specific objectives of the European Union for the future CAP.

In line with the procedures set out in the proposed Regulation, the different components of the Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy 2023-2027 (PEPAC) are subject to input through a broad consultation process, which will include the economic and social partners, as well as bodies representing the agricultural sector, the environment and civil society. ANI is part of the PEPAC inter-ministerial group as a relevant public body for the strategic development of proposals in this context.

The document, structured in three levels - Continent, Autonomous Region of Madeira and Autonomous Region of the Azores - is now available for extended consultation until 11 December, and contributions should be addressed to pac_pos2020@gpp.pt. After this period, the European Commission will be able to verify each country's plan and proceed to its approval with a view to its implementation.
