The Procura+ Awards recognize previously implemented public procurement systems which stand out for their innovation and sustainability, and which result in significant improvements in terms of commodities and public services, processes and infrastructures.
The awards are co-financed by Procure2Innovate, a project financed by the European Commission with the strategic purpose of building a solid network of competence centres that facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experiences.
Public procurement can be an important instrument for the promotion of innovation and R&D activities, both for corporate entities as well as for public entities involved in the procurement of products and services. It is to this end that ANI is currently developing measures for stimulating innovation by way of public procurement processes, among which the coordination of the Procure2Innovate project on a national level, in strict cooperation with the IMPIC - Institute of Public Markets, Real Estate and Construction.
