10th of July, 9.30 am, Centro de Congressos da Alfândega do Porto, Oporto

In recent years we have seen the recovery of sectors that have experienced crisis periods, such as textiles, footwear or agribusiness. Today, these are growing sectors. What do they have in common? They have bet on innovation to differentiate their products and compete on a global scale.

Technology companies have set their sights on Portugal and it’s not just a coincidence. The country combines good natural conditions with placing value on and the production of scientific knowledge of excellence. Companies collaborating with higher education institutions, R&D centres, Interface Centres and other national innovation system entities has contributed to the development of the national economy.

It will, therefore, be a country that has bet on innovation and that aims to affirm itself in this way that will be exhibited at the TECH@PORTUGAL, an event organised by the National Innovation Agency (ANI) within the scope of the Knowledge Transfer Initiative, co-financed by COMPETE 2020, and will be held on the 4th of July at the Centro de Congressos da Alfândega do Porto, Oporto.

Over the course of the day, TECH@PORTUGAL will present what has been carried out in Portugal in transforming knowledge into innovation. Conferences and demonstration spaces - where there will be success stories developed by Interface Centres, Clusters, Collaborative Laboratories and companies - as well as an Innovation Stage are all part of the event’s programme.

This will be another of the ANI’s actions to support the transfer of knowledge to the market and ensuring its valorisation, with the mission of positioning Portugal among the Strongly Innovative countries in the next decade.

The event is free, but prior registration is mandatory mandatory and open from the 14th of June at www.ani.pt.

The full programme will be announced shortly.

Save the date in your diary and don’t miss out on TECH@PORTUGAL!

TECH@PORTUGAL is promoted within the scope of the CASS - Knowledge Transfer Initiative, co-financed by COMPETE 2020 through Portugal 2020 and the European Regional Development Fund.
