Eureka network projects are R&D projects aimed at the market and developed in an environment of international cooperation. They are aimed at developing market-oriented innovative products, services and businesses. They cover all areas of technology, and the subject matters, activities and priorities are defined by the proposers.
What is needed to move forward with a EUREKA project?
To submit a project:
Once the acceptance criteria have been verified, your project will be circulated to all member states for analysis.
The EUREKA seal will be awarded after the project has been presented at, and approved by one of the network’s periodic meetings.
Umbrella projects operate as mini-networks inside the EUREKA network, focusing on specific sectors. Their main principal is to stimulate the emergence of new EUREKA projects in their respective sectors.
Clusters are strategic initiatives for the development of technologies of high importance for Europe's competitiveness. Clusters are industry-led initiatives and are open to participation by SMEs and large companies. Contests and assessment rules are defined by each Cluster.
The EUROSTARS Programme is a joint programme run by the EUREKA network and the European Commission.
It is the first European financial support instrument specifically aimed at SMEs with strong potential for growth, and that carry out R&D activities.
EUROSTARS’ aim is to stimulate the SMEs to lead international research and innovation projects in partnership, by facilitating access to funding.
Portugal participates in the EUROSTARS 2 programme.
For the call ending on the 13th February 2020, the national entities that may be selected, may be financed under the NoticeAAC 18/SI/2018 -“Industrial R&D on the European scale”
Funding via AAC 16/SI/2019 requires the participation of national companies.
Consortia EUROSTARS in which the national participation is only made up of entities from the National Scientific and Technological System will be, if selected, funded by national funds.
